The
Optima Series 3 sport aviation propellers are carbon fibre, ground adjustable pitch propellers. Performance is at the highest level due to the unique high efficiency blade design. The Series 3 propellers also operate smoothly throughout their designed rev range.
Unlike earlier propellers, the Series 3 are ground adjustable using a 1.5" shank that enable the setting the propeller balde to the required pitch. As with all propellers they are at their most efficient at one optimal pitch setting, and it is this setting that we quote. The less a prop is changed from this the better the performance, a range of +/- 7 degrees outside this parameter should be viewed and the maximum variation for satisfactory performance.
The
OS3 Hubs are CNC machined from aviation grade 7075 alloy plate (not a cheap casting) and treated for corrosion resistance (hence the gold colour). Hubs are designed for Rotax engines bolt hole patterns as standard and custom bolt hole patterns can be arranged for an extra charge. Overall diameter may vary a little from hub to hub.
Blade Information & PricingPropeller Description, Price in Australian Dollars. Sizes in inches, diameter first, pitch second, R or L refers to right or left hand rotation of the propeller when standing in the prop wash.
The new
Dura-Tuff leading edge protection option is also worth considering.
Dura-Tuff will help protect your propeller from damage caused by small stones, gravel and rain. It's a black composite material that is moulded into the propeller at the time of manufacture and costs only $88.00 per blade.
